Its' BASICALLY READY...

The last stage is drawing near for the Design class and my prototype has reach its last stage where I was able to find a small screw to put the Ipod frame into place with the bike rail mount. Here are the photos of the progress, followed by the answer to the questions posted for assignment 7.1.

The first photo is of the actually pieces, the second of them assembled (fit together), the third of the bike handle mount, and fourth of final set piece.

1. The name you will give your artifact:  I have decided to call my prototype the Sound Mountie and will possibly spray paint the yellow into the color of the Canadian flag (as I am Canadian).

2. Some background on the gap you addressed and your problem definition: I wanted to able to take my ipod on bike rides with me and have it able to withstand the rough terrain of the mountains, while having a "hands accessibly" to the ipod itself (for GPS or Music) and easily departure/removal from the bike when I lock it up.

3. The next stage: Look into finding other compatible ipod protector cases and or a solar/bike charger to power ipod longer, consider the possibility of mounting a speaker on the front (for accessorizing the prototype). Other options include developing a frame to hand a single grocery bag attachable to the base of the bike rail mount, or aesthetics like paint-on colors or stickers(QR stickers?).
